Minnesota Law students, faculty, and staff are invited to our Seventh Annual MLK Convocation on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 12:15 pm (CST).

This year's event features Harvard Law Professor Guy-Uriel Charles and ACLU of Minnesota Policy Director Julia Decker ’14. Our distinguished panel will reflect on Dr. King’s quote, “Voting is the foundation stone for political action” and consider where we are now 56 years after the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Attendees are also invited to reflect on Dr. King’s leadership and historical action as it pertains to our country’s voting rights as Americans.

Dean Garry W. Jenkins will open with remarks and an overview of our Martin Luther King, Jr. annual series and Justice Shannon, 2L and President of Black Law Students Association, will moderate the conversation.
