Prof. JaneAnne Murray Elected to Board of NACDL

Professor JaneAnne Murray was elected to serve on the board of directors of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) at the association’s annual meeting.

Murray, associate clinical professor of law, joined the Law School in August 2011. She specializes in criminal law and government investigations and teaches criminal procedure and sentencing advocacy. Her research interests include plea bargaining, prosecutorial discretion, and sentencing. She also directs the Law School’s Clemency Clinic.

Founded in 1958, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers is dedicated to advancing the mission of the criminal defense bar to ensure justice and due process for persons accused of crime or wrongdoing. Its members included private criminal defense lawyers, public defenders, military defense counsel, law professors, and judges.
