Law School Alumni

The Law Library provides U of MN Law School alums remote access to HeinOnline's Law Journal Library of articles from over 3,200 law and law-related periodicals. The articles include hypertext links to the full-text of referenced cases on Fastcase. To gain access you will need an active U of MN Internet account (available to all degree-holding alumni). Contact the Law Library Reference Office (612-625-4309 law-ref@umn.edu) for information on U of MN Internet accounts and assistance using the HeinOnline Law Journals Library.

Licensed Minnesota attorneys can apply for Law Library borrowing privileges. Visit the Circulation Desk to request an  Application for Special Borrowing Privileges. You will need a copy of your attorney license. You can also email your request to the circulation desk at lawcirc@umn.edu. Borrowing privileges only apply to items in the Law Library's general collection with a loan period of six weeks.

Other University of Minnesota Libraries extend borrowing privileges through the University Libraries' Friends of the Libraries program. Members of the University of Minnesota Alumni Association may become a Friend of the Library for a discounted fee.
