Collaborate and Make a Difference

3Ls Tarun Sharma and Colton Messer, officers in the Sports Law Association (one of the more than 35 student organizations at the Law School), were excited by the prospect of having a clinic that would provide experiential learning opportunities in the sports arena. They partnered with attorney Chris Pham, a well-established Twin Cities sports and entertainment lawyer, to make their dream a reality. The clinic debuted in fall 2022 with Pham serving as adjunct professor and faculty clinic director. The Sports & NIL Clinic aids college athletes, student social media influencers, and others with endorsement, sponsorship, and image licensing deals.
