Prof. Fionnuala Ní Aoláin and Visiting Clinical Professor of Law Ana Pottratz Acosta Appointed to the Governor's Council on Recording the Truth of Operation Metro Surge and Operation PARRIS on Minnesotans
Professor Fionnuala Ní Aoláin, KC (Hons), Regents Professor, Robina Professor of Law, Public Policy and Society, and faculty director of the Human Rights Center, and Visiting Clinical Professor of Law Ana Pottratz Acosta, faculty director of the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, are among 12 individuals appointed to the Governor's Council on Recording the Truth of Operation Metro Surge and Operation PARRIS on Minnesotans (Minnesota Truth Council).
The Chair of the Governor's Council is the Honorable Peter Cahill.

The Governor's press release stated: "The Governor’s Council on Recording the Truth of Operation Metro Surge and Operation PARRIS is tasked with creating a public record of both the harm endured and the generosity and resilience demonstrated by Minnesotans. Made up of leaders representing a range of expertise and perspectives, the Council will gather testimony, data, and firsthand accounts to ensure people’s experiences are documented, preserved, and heard. The Council will also develop recommendations to help prevent future harm and support the state’s long-term recovery.
