Prof. Emmanuel Mauleón Interviewed on Background Briefing Podcast About ICE Shooting Investigation and Minnesota Prosecutors’ Resignations
Professor Emmanuel Mauleón was interviewed on the Background Briefing podcast discussing, among other things, the cause of the mass resignation at the Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office stemming from the Renee Good shooting by an ICE agent. Prof. Mauleón said, “[This is] precisely what everyone in the local government was concerned about, of course, the cutting the BCA of Minnesota out of the investigation, withholding evidence, not involving them in the decision-making processes about whether or not someone would face prosecution. All of this certainly raised the concern that this was going to be a politically preordained exculpatory mission rather than a full and fair investigation.” Listen to the full interview.
