Sarah Grosse Perdekamp ‘26 Represents the Human Rights Center at the UN Forum on Business and Human Rights
From November 24-26 Sarah Grosse Perdekamp ‘26 represented the Human Rights Center at the 14th United Nations Forum on Business and Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland. The theme for the Forum was “Accelerating action on business and human rights amidst crises and transformations.” Over the three days Sarah had the opportunity to attend several sessions on various topics and to engage with civil society members and organizations, special rapporteurs, and other stakeholders. She shared that the sessions and interactions deepened her understanding of how corporate practices, regulatory frameworks, and human rights advocacy intersect. Sarah’s participation was made possible through a Heins Human Rights Fellowship.

Sarah is currently studying at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany and was awarded a Heins Human Rights Fellowship from the Human Rights Center to participate in this opportunity. She reflected, “this experience will inform my studies and future work by deepening my understanding of how systemic risks and enforcement challenges play out in practice and how progress ultimately depends on accountable action across companies, governments, and civil society.”
