Professor Jill Hasday, Distinguished McKnight University Professor and Centennial Professor in Law, was referenced in an MPR News story about a federal judge’s dismissal of a lawsuit that sought to limit abortion access in Minnesota. Plaintiffs argued that an abortion is essentially a termination of a mother’s relationship with her unborn child. When the lawsuit was filed in November, Prof. Hasday said in an interview with MPR News that she didn’t expect it to succeed — but said she expects to see more challenges to legal abortion brought to court following the overturning of Roe v.
