Prof. Nadia Anguiano ’17 Interviewed by Minnesota Daily About ICE Detaining Students on Campuses

Professor Nadia Anguiano ’17 was interviewed by the Minnesota Daily about recent arrests by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on college campuses. Prof. Anguiano said, “The stated reason that the Department of Homeland Security has given [for the arrests] is actually a pretty obscure ground of the deportability. This ground of removal essentially states that it applies to non-citizens whose presence or activities in the United States, the secretary of state has reasonable grounds to believe, would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences on the United States.”
