Prof. Nick Bednar ’16 Quoted by the Washington Post about OPM’s Five-Bullet-Point Email

Professor Nick Bednar ’16 was quoted in Michelle Singletary’s column for the Washington Post. “To the extent that Musk has signaled that employees who do not respond will be considered to have resigned, that would not comport with civil service laws,” Professor Bednar said. “Any resignation from the federal workforce must be voluntary. The employee must initiate the resignation. Any attempt to interpret a nonresponse as a resignation would be unlawful.”
