What’s in a name? The way Name, Image, and Likeness is reshaping Collegiate Athletics

In 2021, after years of prohibiting collegiate athletes from endorsing products or services, or earning income related to their athletic accomplishments, the NCAA adopted a change allowing student athletes to pursue Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) endorsement deals. The decision has resulted in a host of new laws and litigation. Panelists will address the evolving and complex landscape of NIL rights—looking at current NCAA guidance, legislation and enforcement trends, current litigation, and what we can expect moving forward with college athletics.
